No Blade, No Tangle: The Korean Wrap That Fixes the Most Annoying 5 Seconds in Your Kitchen
최종 수정일: 9월 15일
Buyer Story / Product Spotlight — Cleanwrap (Korea)
You know the moment. Dinner's done, the leftovers are on the counter, and you reach for the plastic wrap. You pull, it clings to itself. You pull harder, it twists into a useless ball. And when you finally drag it across that jagged metal edge on the box — ow.
We asked an American mom to act it out for us. She didn't need much direction.
The problem is the box, not you
For decades, food wrap has been sold in the same cardboard box with a serrated metal saw-tooth edge glued to the lid. It is cheap to make and unpleasant to use: it snags, it needs two hands, it rarely cuts straight, and it nicks fingers — especially kids' fingers.
Cleanwrap, Korea's number-one household wrap brand, decided the box was the thing to fix.
Meet Sliding Cleanwrap
Instead of a blade, Sliding Cleanwrap uses a small sliding cutter that rides on a rail across the top of the box. Hold the film with the built-in film-hold on the side, glide the cutter once, and you get a clean, straight edge — with one hand, and with nothing sharp exposed.
A few things that matter if you are a buyer, distributor, or retailer:
Safety-tested. The sliding cutter passed comprehensive testing by SGS and holds European safety certification.
Cleaner materials. Non-toxic LLD-PE film with no PVC, made with natural corn oil instead of chemical plasticizers, using FDA-approved raw materials.
Less packaging waste. The cutter is now built into the box, so the old plastic shrink sleeve that protected an exposed blade is gone — less film, easier recycling.
Sizes that fit real shelves. Available in 22 cm, 25 cm, and 27 cm widths.
Proven abroad. Cleanwrap developed the world's first non-toxic household wrap, holds patents in the US, Australia, China, and Japan, and currently exports to 28 countries.
Why we made this video
Most Korean manufacturers describe their products with spec sheets. Overseas buyers, and the consumers they sell to, respond to a problem they recognize in their own kitchen. So we built a 25-second hook around the two things everyone hates about wrap — the cut finger and the tangled ball — and let the product answer with a single satisfying slide.
The video was produced by the Onsite Korea team using AI production tools, from character design and set design to every cut, in a US kitchen setting for North American audiences.
